Post 3: The Best Song Ever
It’s very difficult think about the best song ever, probably some people would say something like classic music (Mozart, Bach, etc.) because the composition and some factors that I don’t really know about. Other people may say a song from bands that were iconic in the history of the music industry like songs of Queen, The Beatles, etc.
But for me, the best song ever, isn’t really “the best song ever”, because it’s depends in the mood I’m currently on, and the knowledge of the proper music industry. I think I would never define the best song ever in terms strictly to composition, lyrics and all of the tech’s aspects of the music.
So, I will define the best song ever for me like the one which makes me bring back memories or make me feel emotions, mainly happiness or nostalgy about a certain moment of my life.
The song is called “Mi Buenos Aires Querido” by Carlos Gardel. Back in the day, my grandmother enjoyed a lot the genre of Tango, she danced on the living room with her husband. My grandfather passed away a few years before I was born, so I didn’t meet him. But my grandma kept that joy and happiness listening Gardel´s songs on the radio remembering my grandfather.
Sadly, my grandma died in 2013, so in my family always remember them with songs from Gardel or other Argentinian tango singers.
In 2015 and 2016 I travelled to the city in the name of the song with my football team of those years. It was really a great experience and I enjoyed listening all of the songs from Gardel’s albums. So, the song brings me back memories from my grandma and the amazing travel that I made. It was really emotional but all worth it in the end.
That’s why I define “Mi Buenos Aires Querido” the best song ever for me.
Checked for both progression and completion. All covered.
