Blog 6: Experience in Online Classes

My experience in online classes has been a roller coaster! At the beginning I was really sad because the direction of ICEI had to suspend the classes for some days. Me being from a different region mean that I couldn’t see my friends at the campus. But really quick I understand the situation.

The days keep going forward and we had to do online classes, totally different of what I’m was used to! At the start I was a little bit confused in some aspects of the classes, like the way that we were to be qualified, or the duration of the classes.

Once that things were defined, I really enjoyed being in my house while studying for the exams or while I stayed with my family and eat with my parents every day.

But the days go on, and the pandemic still be there. The classes aren’t like normal ones in the university, but the teachers had to keep the same level of exigency of a normal year. But definitely isn’t the same as a year non virtual. The amount of stress, considering the pandemic and classes are too high!

We have to do all the things that we used supposed to do in the campus, in our houses! Plus, all the things that requires to do in ours homes and stay in lockdown, is really a mess and the world doesn’t appear to stop for people that can’t go at the same rhythm. My university adapt -in my opinion- only a little bit to the new style of life, they still make things like normal.

In my particular case, I have this semester 9 different classes and my work. So, it’s very difficult to stay at the high level and keep my life ordained. I usually get up at 7am -earlier than a non-online year- and go to sleep at 1 am. I’m only sleeping six hours or less sometimes! And that mainly because all of the stuff that I have to do to keep up with my responsibilities.

But, in these cases, I remember the phrase that my mother always told me: “when things seems difficult, you have to do the double effort to make it happened”. For me, that’s my life’s motto. That phrase help me through some deep moments in the quarantine time, I was very upset by the way this year become, but I have to keep trying and finding a reason to complete all the tasks that I have to get ready.

In this time, I learned different forms of organization, ways to study and relax. And also, I learned about yoga and auto training sessions, those things help me so much in find a way to relax from work and classes.

Now, it’s only left one month of classes. But is the period of exams, so I will have so much to do.

  2. Progression Assessment:

All tasks have been uploaded though not in completion with deadlines.

On the whole, the biggest issue has been the adequacy of tenses, the use of regular and/or irregular verbs.
On the other hand, cohesion has been boosted in this last post in particular.

    Progression Grade: 5.5
    Completion Grade: 7.0
    Final Grade: 6.3
